Inspired by the legendary Black Lotus card, this project explores the contrast between darkness and light through a mystical flower with bioluminescent stamens. The deep crimson petals absorb the surrounding light while the glowing core radiates energy outward.
A macro view into the heart of the flower reveals the intricate stamen geometry and the neon emission shader that gives the lotus its otherworldly glow. The petal textures were crafted to mimic real organic surfaces with fine veins and translucency.
From above, the flower’s layered petal structure becomes visible, surrounded by detailed lily pads floating on the water’s surface. The color shifts from deep purple at the outer petals to vibrant pink at the center.
